Vyomkesh Bakshi is the best... the best detective serial ever made in the history of Indian Television.

Buniyaad is my favorite. It is an Indian television drama-series that was directed by Sholay's director Ramesh Sippy.

Buniyaad, in many ways, laid the foundation of Indian Television..

Its story ::

10 years back when the Bohmkesh series first appeared on TV, a detective by the name of Byomkesh Bakshi made an unobtrusive entry into the world of Indian middle class. He preferred calling himself a satyanneshi, a seeker of truth, and within days was a household name, courtesy his cerebral skills and the exciting situations he found himseft in. I loved the show.. now what to say.. :)

one of the best Indian detective serials ever.. sheer nostalgia! I was in school back then, and fell in love with Byomkesh Bakshi.. I even remember crying when the first 13 episodes ended! The magic of those bright intelligent eyes can't be described in words..

I remember how awed i used to feel at the protagonist's ingenuity. I saw a few episodes recently and still love the serial as ever. The way Rajit has carried the serial is simply mindblowing. Plus the bengali charm. Byomkesh in his white kurta and dhoti....imprinted in our minds.

I am also big fan of Byomkesh Bakshi.. He was someone who came closest to Indian version of Sherlock Holmes and I enjoyed watching it over and over again.

The intelligent dhoti-kurta clad Rajit Kapoor aka Byomkesh, who solved the most complicated cases. K K Raina as his assistant was Watson's counterpart in the show, who helped Byomkesh in every mystery he investigated. :gm:

बिलकुल ..मैं निशांत भाई की बात से पूरी तरह सहमत हूँ. मुझे याद है जब रामायण सीरियल आता था तब मेरी दादी जी टेलीविजन के सामने धूपबत्ती जलाकर पहले विधिवत पूजा करती थीं उसके बाद टेलीविजन खोला जाता था. दूरदर्शन के रामायण और महाभारत धारावाहिक के बाद मुझे नहीं लगता की किसी भी चैनल पर कोई भी धार्मिक सीरियल ऐसा आया हो जिसमें लोगों नें इतनी अपार श्रद्धा दिखाई हो.
