There was a time, when I was alone,
then one fine day I met you by chance.
On the train, you sat by the window.
Talking to your friends, with your beautiful smile.
Like a precious gem in a golden jewel
you stood out from all the others.
Like an idol made of pure crystal:
you are indeed a piece of art
fashioned by the Lord especially for me.
One day or the other I will make you mine.
But till then we shall remain just good friends.
