Aish and Abhi promote Raavan

Abhishek and Aishwariya Bachchan promoted their upcoming movie Raavan in Delhi and Mumbai. The much-awaited film is directed by ace south Indian filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Bachchan, who plays the role of Beera in the flick, rejoiced as he greeted fans from an open bus. He also threw goodies like ‘Raavan’ key chains and T-shirts to his fans.

The movie also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays the character of a dance teacher and is happily married to a policeman, played by Tamil actor Vikram.

The movie is all about how Beera causes mayhem in their lives.

The film is slated to release on June 18.

Every fan who is waiting for the Raavan ( Raavanan in Tamil ) release will be expecting the climax already.

The Raavan dies infront of Sita by the hands of Rama. But this time it will be emotional as Raavan will be shown more like a hero than an antagonist.

I think most of us are expecting this climax. But is this really going to be the climax? The answer is no !!!

A master director like Maniratnam is not an easy catch like that. He has something special in store for Raavan. It’s one of the most chilling climaxes
Atleast in Indian film history.

And unfortunately for the makers the climax has been leaked.

The climax of Raavan is , there is no Raavan to begin with. That is the Beera/Veera character is not an existing one!!

The story line is like this. Raagini( Aish ) and Dev( Vikram) are a married couple. Raagini is a music teacher from a remote location.
She grew up listening to the stories and myths of jungle. So when Dev moves to the jungle as part of his police duty, Raagini reconnects with her past stories.

Dev is hunting a Robin Hood like character Veera in the jungle whom no one has ever seen.
Raagini listens to this stories and she becomes impressed by Veera.

Dev tells her about the experiences he has investigating Veera, how he intercepts a wedding which he suspects is that of Veera’s sister.
The story flows like Ramayana from there on. Dev accidentally kills Veera’s sister. Veer kidnaps Raagini. They slowly fall in love. Dev kills Veera in the end , in
A very emotional climax.

But then comes the real climax!

Most of this story is an imagination by Raagini. She has multiple personality syndrome! She is creating a raw character for herself, for the things which she could never get from
An always correct Raam(Dev). Raagini who is unsatisfied with her monotonous marries life, makes up a big story like Raamayana in her head and plays it out. She escapes to the jungle on her own
And imagines that Veera is taking her.

There is a Beera/Veera character in the end , which is played by Ravi kishan in Hindi and Prabhu in Tamil, but they are ordinary criminals and not a hero like Raavan which Raagini has imagined.

The story has more symbols and meaning in it throughout and the audience will curse themselves for not noticing these hints.
It’a hard to believe climax and it will be fun to see how Maniratnam pulls this off!!!

In the world premiere of Aish and Abhi’s movie "Raavan", King Khan met Bachchans which drag huge crowds that wanted to see Big B and King Khan together.

Mani Ratnam’s "Raavan" is a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie and also Tamil superstar Vikram makes his Bollywood entry through this movie. A co-production of Madras Talkies and Reliance BIG Pictures “Raavan” hits about 2,200 screens worldwide.

Amitabh tweeted on last Sunday, "Shah Rukh, Abhishek probably spoke to you about the London premiere of 'Raavan', see you, Gauri and the kids there. Good that you are coming."

In front of journalist Abhi says: "It's wonderful. Look at the reception we’ve got. We are feeling on top of the world and so happy that we came to London to premiere the film."

In Raavan Aish plays the role of Ragini who is a dance teacher, married to a cop. The cop’s role is played by Vikram. In the course of events, she is kidnaped by Abhishek (Beera) and held prisoner at his jungle hideout.

The Tamil version of this movie is titled "Raavanan" and Vikram plays the role of enemy Beera in it and Prithviraj will be seen as Aish’s cop husband.
