Sridevi's much-lauded comeback film English Vinglish seems to have done much more than just revive her career. It has brought the interest back in the sari.

She plays a middle-aged housewife in the film and her sari collection comprised mostly sober, single-toned cotton and cotton-crepes.

Cotton Kanjivarams, cotton Ikkats were also spotted. In this scene she wears a yellow sari with red and black border. |

Sri uses her saris in the film for comfort unlike Sushmita Sen who made it a fashion statement in the film Main Hoon Na. |

The block print nicely off sets the pink of this one. We wouldn't be surprised if Sridevi starts a rush to buy block prints from retailers. |
