One more brainstorming puzzle
suppose there are 2 people and a pitcher of beer they want equal share one way of pleasing both of them is to ask one to divide the beer into two halves and then ask the other one to choose on of these parts this will make both of them happy it doesn't matter who does the division given that they believe in fairness how can you do the same thing with three people?
