Payal goes to meet Gautam in his office to give him the file of the plot, which is on Gautam's name now. On her way out, she bumps into Mihir who is shocked to see her.

Mihir confronts Gautam about Payal's visit and warns him about Payal, Gautam tells him a lie that she just came to thank him for helping her out with a case.

Shobha tells Tusli that she will see the guy, but asks her if she is sure that if she marries this guy and not Vishal she will be happy, Tulsi has no answer to that. Mihir tells Tulsi about Payal's visit at the office, they both suspect her.

Gautam comforts Shobha and asks her to tie him a friendship band. He leaves for US and asks Tulsi to give him dahi as shagun. The Mehta's arrive in the evening and the boy wants to meet Shobha personally, they go for a drive and Shobha tells him that she is not interested in marriage right now.

They come back and the Mehta's like Shobha and the boy also announces that he likes her!

Shobha is shattered, she goes to meet Payal and tells her everything Payal assures her and tells her that they both (Shobha and Vishal) should get married. While leaving Shobha picks up Payal's cell phone instead of hers by mistake...

Payal gets the marriage registration procedures expedited by a month through her influence. Tulsi calls Shobha on her cell and Payal takes the call and tells her the cells have got exchanged. Tulsi is furious and confronts Shobha who lies her that she was with a friend. Payal then calls shobha and tells her that Tulsi knows she was with her. There is showdown between Tulsi and Shobha.

Payal asks Shobha to leave her house and come to her house in the night, Shobha takes her bag and leaves the house… Gautam sees her leaving and wonders where she is going so late in the night. He calls her, Payal thinks it's Shobha and asks her to hurry... Gautam hears this and follows Shobha to Payal's house.

Gautam reaches Payals house. Shobha tells him that Tulsi and Mihir want to get her engaged to Sameer. Gautam agrees to get Shobha married to Vishal in court. Vishal and Shobha are nervous about getting married, but Payal tries to convince them.

Savita finds Shobha missing, everybody in the house is looking out for her. Gautam goes to the court to attend the wedding. Shobha and Vishal get married. The family is extremely worried about Shobha's whereabouts and just then the married couple enter the Virani house. The whole family is shocked!

Vishal tells them that the marriage is incomplete since the family is not happy with the wedding, and he will take Shobha with him only after they get blessings from the family for the marriage. Payal is celebrating and Vishal tells her his decision of not getting Shobha, Payal is happier as the Viranis will now have to come to her.

Tulsi and Mihir are extremely hurt, but they eventually accept Shobha's decision and Tulsi decides to speak to Payal, who tells her that they are leaving for Delhi and now they (Tulsi and Mihir) will have to come to Delhi to meet her.

Mihir and Tulsi discuss Shobha's future. Payal is plotting against Tulsi and is happy that she has won over Shobha and Gautam to her territory and now targets Harsh (Tulsi and Mihir's youngest son).


Shobha tries to communicate through Pooja that she still cares for Tulsi and her decision. Sanvari asks Ganga as to why do people run away and get married and tells her about Shobha. Ganga explains to Sanvari that she should not say such thing to strangers and keep the family secrets to herself. Tulsi listens to this and is impressed.

Payal calls Savita and tells her that they should go ahead with the wedding ceremonies. Savita, Mansukh, Mihir and Tulsi decide to go to Delhi.

Tulsi calls Payal and tells her that they are coming to Delhi in the evening, Payal says she will look forward to them and mentions to her that Gautam has done good deed by getting his sister married… Tulsi is shocked to her this. Tulsi confronts Gautam, Gautam explains to Tulsi why he did it. Tulsi concludes that there's no one but Payal behind it.

The Viranis visit Payal's house and finalise a date for the wedding, which is just five days later. Vishal informs Shobha about it and they both are happy. All the relatives are taken aback with the urgency for the wedding.

Payal visits the Viranis and offers to join the Virani women to go shopping, Tusli is very reluctant but has no choice than to say yes. They go for shopping and Payal flaunts her status and wants to buy loads of sarees, she also taunts Tulsi about how in the past she has yelled at her for wearing one of her sarees, which Mihir had bought for Tulsi.

Sejal poisons Gayatri's mind against the family and tells her not to attend Shobha's wedding. Prajakta confronts Chirag about his picture with actress Mansi in a magazine and tells him that it might affect the kids, but Chirag tells her that it's his profession and asks her to join him for Mansi's birthday party.

Everybody is busy with the wedding, but Tulsi is not very enthusiastic. Gautam notices her and tries to speak to her. Prajakta calls Chirags on his cell and Mansi takes the call, she gets very irritated.

Kiran and Aarti come to India. Mihir is very angry with Kiran and asks him to leave, Savita tries to stop him and tells Kiran she will convince Mihir. Payal and Tulsi meet at the mandir. Payal asks Tulsi to apply mehndi on her hands... Tulsi is reluctant but agrees.

Aarti comes to Payal's house for the wedding ceremony. Payal introduces her to Vishal. Indu and her friends are dressing Shobha up for the mehndi ceremony. Payal asks Aarti to join her at the Viranis. She refuses but then agrees to come on Payal's persistence.

Payal goes to the Virani house and gives all the women sarees, and says she had bought an extra for Aarti since she had forgotten that she no longer is the Virani bahu. Everyone is embarrassed at this.

During the ceremony Indu's eyes fall on Parveen Dabas, the actor from Monsoon Wedding and she immediately starts dreaming of a song sequence with him, but her balloon is burst when Parveen's fiance enters the house. Payal asks a dispirited Tusli to apply mehndi to her…

Tulsi unwillingly applies mehndi to Payal. Payal is extremely happy and taunts Tulsi about the past. Aarti enters the house and everyone is shocked, but Payal tells them that she has invited Aarti as her guest since she is a very old friend of hers.

Tulsi is extremely angry at Payal for inviting Aarti but Mansukh decides that the ceremonies will not halt because of Aarti and she will be treated only as Payal's guest and doesn't mean anything to them.

The sangeet ceremony takes place and Payal picks each member of the family and dances with them, when she asks Chirag to join her, he gives his mobile to Prajakta who sees a new message on his cell from Mansi which reads, "I am missing you" and she is upset.

Indu starts the antakshari and the two families have a war of songs. Payal sings a song for Tulsi and Tulsi gives her a very emotional reply.

Kiran takes Aarti outside and asks her why she is here, she tells him that she is Payal's guest and he shouldn't bother. Gautam interferes and asks them not to fight and reminds them that it's not Australia. Tusli thanks Gautam for supporting her and not Aarti and giving her due respect, he assures her that everything will be fine and that she should learn to ignore things that don't matter.

Mihir wants to ask Kiran to leave the house, but Tulsi tells him that the problem is with Payal and Aarti, not Kiran since he is already sorry for his deeds.

Shobha is upset with Sahil leaving before her wedding but he calls and explains to her and asks her to send him the dandiya ceremony and wedding videos. Harsh comes home and is introduced to Gautam. Indu and friends decide to make Ba dance for the dandiya ceremony and she hopes that even Parveen Dabbas will attend the ceremony.

Kesar and Pragaya also come to attend the dandiya ceremony. Prajakta is unwilling to attend the dandya ceremony and Chirag is upset with her and tells her not to make a fuss since there are already many problems due to Payal and Aarti. They argue and she tells him about the message on his cell.

Sanvari and Bhanvari invite Ganga who says she cannot attend, they are upset and ask Prajakta to convince Ganga. Prajakta manages to persuade her. Payal is dressed for the ceremony and taunts Tulsi, but this time Tulsi gets back at her!

The dandiya celebrations are in full swing at the Virani residence. Ganga coaxes Gautam to play with her as she has no partner but Gautam tries to avoid her, they have a playful argument.

Pragya asks Ba about Gautam and finds him very handsome then she spots Aarti and is upset with her presence. Sanvari and Bhanvari ask Ganga to play but she says she doesn't have a partner, they see Gautam passing by and catch hold of him and force him to play with her.

Chirag tries to pacify Prajakta but she it very upset. Gautam wants to get out of the situation and hurts Ganga's hand. She gets upset and refuses to play with him.

Payal asks Tulsi to play with her and very forcefully plays and flings Tulsi's dandya. Tulsi is angry and starts playing fiercely back. Tulsi and Savita have a conversation about the changing times and how the phrase holds true in life.

Savita tells Shobha that no matter what, she'll always remain the daughter of the house.

The haldi celebrations are going on at the Mehra house and also at the Virani's. Kiran volunteers to apply mehndi to Shobha in place of her maama, since Tulsi doesn't have a brother. Mihir tries to stop him but Tulsi lets him continue.
