Pls tell me the technique to solve these type of questions!

(1) How many such pairs of letters are there in the word "DISTINGUISH" each of which have as many letters between them in the word as they have between them in the english alphabets?
A) None B) One C) Two D) Three E) More than three

(2) How many such pairs of letters are there in the word "PRODUCTION" each of which have as many letters between them in the word as they have between them in the english alphabets?
A) None B) One C) Two D) Three E) More than three
