HAVING ICONS WITH NO NAME

Normally you have to have a name for an icon, just spaces are not allowed. To create an icon with no name attached:

Make sure Num Lock is on
Highlight the Icon you want to change
Right-Mouse click and select Rename
While holding down the Alt key, type 0160

Branding Windows With Your Name
open notepad dump the following lines into it and save it with the name OEMINFO.INI in the c:\windows\system32 directory:
[General]
Manufacturer=Your Name Here
Model=Your Model Here
[Support Information]
Line1=Your Name Here
Line2=Your Address Here
Line3=Your Email Address Here

Save the file, then make a right click on my computer select properties, in the general tab a button will be highlighted (support information) make a click on it, you will be able to see the changes.
Now if you want to display some more information then simply increase the line in the file.
ex: Line4=Your Working Hours Here
Now the icon will have no name below it

Create a new folder with the name ABC(of course you can give any name).
Open the command prompt and rename it to one of the following:

Important: include the point and nothing before that!
Example: "rename ABC .{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"
Now wen you will see that the icon of tht folder has changed(No name) to My computer Icon.Now Make a shortcut to that folder, change the target and icon and you have a nameless shortcut.
I tested it on XP so i have no idea tht it will work on 98,ME....

DOS event monitoring...

For those skilled in the art of DOS batch files, XP has a number of interesting new commands.
These include 'eventcreate' and 'eventtriggers' for creating and watching system events,
'typeperf' for monitoring performance of various subsystems, and 'schtasks' for handling scheduled tasks. As usual, typing the command name followed by /? will give a list of options --

mobile trick

using this you can get your sim card nos very easily.By pressing y + # (where y is any number) will show the telephone number stored in that particular location.
yes it works for example if u type
10 in idle mode and then pressing "#" , it will show the 10th number stored when the number are entered in your phone-book.
try it......

Add a photo to my computer properties..

To do this:

1. Open Notepad.
2. Type the following:[General]Manufacturer="your_nameModel=HP d530 SFF(DC578AV)[Support Information]Line1= Your Ph NoLine2= Your Address.....
3. Save as "oeminfo.ini" in the System32 folder.(Without Quote)
4. Create a bmp file(Your Photo) and save it the System32 folder as "oemlogo.bmp"(Without Quote).
5. Now Check your My Computer Properties.

1. Click the Start button, Settings, Control Panel (XP Users, hit the Start button, Control Panel). Open the Accessibility Options Icon.
2. On the Keyboard tab, click the "Use Toggle Keys" checkbox.
That's it for the beeping part. (OK )
Next, we need to get your screen to flash you, err, flash at you.
HOW TO DO THIS
1. From the Accessibility Options screen, click the Sound tab and check the "Use SoundSentry" checkbox.
2. Next click the Settings button and select "Flash active window" from the "Warning for windowed programs" drop down box.
That's it. Hit OK until you're clear of property and settings screens.

For PC to boost faster than it is now.........

A great new feature in Microsoft Windows XP is the ability to do a boot defragment. This places all boot files next to each other on the disk to allow for faster booting.
By default this option is enabled,but on some systems it is not, so below is the information on how to turn it on:


Go to Start Menu and Click RunType in regedit then click okFind "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftDfrgBootOp t imizeFunction" Select "Enable" from the list on the rightRight on it and select "Modify"Change the value to Y .

Reboot your Pc and see the change yourself.
