that video is about the most commonly used and earliest role playing concept. similar version can be played on forum with players posting about the turn instead of telling the leader, and leader posting the current scene instead of playing it out.

that addon is not necessary. it will be a burden to be honest. max. we can use it for character creation based on one's profile.

also, check this link. http://www.rpggateway.com/Internet_Play/Play_by_Post/ they have list of all such games. check out anyone. no one uses any shop or anything.
