UPSC 2011 Results out

The final results of Civil Services exam 2011 were announced on Friday noon. 910 candidates have been declared. Shena Aggarwal has topped this year’s exam.

My friend, Shivam Verma has got AIR 510.

Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011, held by the Union Public Service Commission in October-November, 2011 and the interviews for Personality Test held in March-April, 2012, some 910 successful candidates, in order of merit, who have been recommended for appointment to –

(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

The 910 candidates include 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in Rules 2 and 19 of the Rules of the Examination and subject to the final decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court / Hon’ble High Courts / Hon’ble C.A.Ts. on the S.L.Ps / R.As / W.Ps. / O.As. pending therein.

The number of vacancies reported by the Government for the

Indian Administrative Service is 170 (85 General, 46 Other Backward Classes, 26 Scheduled Castes and 13 Scheduled Tribes)

Indian Foreign Service is 40 (23 General, 9 Other Backward Classes, 5 Scheduled Castes and 3 Scheduled Tribes)

Indian Police Service is 150 (78 General, 37 Other Backward Classes, 21 Scheduled Castes and 14 Scheduled Tribes)

Central Services Group ‘A’ is 543 (273 General, 148 Other Backward Classes, 81 Scheduled Castes and 41 Scheduled Tribes) and

Central Services Group ‘B’ is 98 (52 General, 15 Other Backward Classes, 24 Scheduled Castes and 7 Scheduled Tribes).

हिँदी माध्यम से देने वाले विद्यार्थियोँ का रैँक अच्छा नही है । दुर्भाग्यवश हिँदी भाषा upsc मेँ उपेक्षा का शिकार हो रहा है और साक्षात्कार बोर्ड मेँ कम्यूनिस्ट टाइप के लोगोँ का अभाव हो गया है ।
अधिकतर up,बिहार वाले जिन्होने हिँदी माध्यम से दिया है , रैँक मे पिछड गए हैँ और वे मनचाहे पोस्ट और कैडर नहीँ मिल पाएँ हैँ ।
अच्छे कैडर और पोस्ट के लिए माध्यम अंग्रेजी करना आवश्यक है ।

एक बात बताइये रणवीर जी, मेरे मित्र शिवम् वर्मा को ५१० rank उसको क्या मिलने का चांस है? इतने rank पर IPS मिल सकता है क्या?

आराम से. हमारे कॉलेज में विरेन्द्र सिंह था न, मेकेनिकल ब्रांच में. उसका ६०० से ऊपर रंक है, और उसको ips में दाखिला मिल गया.

विरेन्द्र सिंह general cateogry से नहीं था, वैसे उसका rank ७४४ है.

अच्छा तभी. फिर कुछ कह नहीं सकता, की कितनी रंक चाहिए होगी.

इस बार यूपीएससी एक्जाम काफी महत्वपूर्ण हैं । इसकी वजह हैं की इस बार 1000 से अधिक पोस्ट हैं जिसमे लगभग 500 पोस्ट आईएएस और आईपीएस के हैं । साथ मे ये उन लड़कों के लिए अंतिम अवसर हैं जो पुराने तरीके से तैयारी कर रहे हैं क्यूंकी अगली बार से माना जा रहा है की ओपशनल विषय हटा दिये जाएँगे । हालांकि इसके बावजूद जीएस मे कुछ टोपिक जैसे हिस्ट्री , पोलिटी , जिओग्राफी , पर्यावरण और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्दे तो रहेंगे ही ।
