Some Of Last Year World’s Most Memorable Moments Captured In 25 Photos
We live in a world which unfortunately isn’t great for all of us. While some are happily living in quite and calm societies, others are struggling to survive. It is sad so see this difference and how many wrong and unfair things are happening. Each year there are wars, revolutions, tragedies but also carnivals, festivals and happy celebrations, so all of these events should be captured and shown to every one because this is the only way we, the average citizen can understand what is happening on our planet. In this article I have collected 25 picture of last year’s most memorable moments which I hope will make us more interested on the state of our civilization.

People stand near a house which sits in the middle of a newly built road in Wenling city in east China’s Zhejiang province on Nov. 22. The house belongs to an elderly man, who refused to sign an agreement to allow his house to be demolished by the authorities, as the compensation offered to him was not enough, according to local media. The National Arboretum
A shaft of sunlight falls on a floral tribute at The National Arboretum during the remembrance service on Nov. 11 in Alrewas, England. The Armed Forces Memorial, is the UK’s tribute to the men and women who have been killed on duty or as a result of terrorist action since 1948. Their names are inscribed on the giant Portland stone walls. The obelisk is specifically dedicated to those who have died while in service. The Armed Forces Memorial has been designed to allow a shaft of sunlight to fall across the sculpted wreath on the central stone on Armistice Day at precisely 11:00am on the 11th day of the 11th month, the time when fighting formally stopped in World War I. China’s Skies: Toxic levels of pollution
Cars run on an elevated road as buildings in the background are covered in haze, Beijing, China, Jan. 15, 2013. A succession of heavily polluted days hit Beijing, prompting the government to issue a first-ever orange warning. Heavy pollution and poor visibility led to the cancelation of flights, and several schools banned all outdoor activities. Air quality improved from ‘dangerous’ to ‘unhealthy’ on a sixth day of thick, grey skies that limited visibility and sent people to hospital with breathing difficulties. (Diego Azubel/EPA) |
