 Her hatred for the daughter-in-law’s family makes her world go round. She does not miss even a single opportunity to put down the girl’s side of the family. If she could have her way, she would stop all interaction between her son and his in-laws and stop the daughter-in-law from visiting her ‘maayaka’.

This M-I-L syndrome has undergone a complete metamorphosis over the years. TV serials may be reliving the kind of episodes you have related, but these are far removed from the reality around us.
However, I appreciate this photo essay based on our film and TV portrayals of the phenomena called M-I-L. Thanks for the same.
