Highlights of the new OS:

New UI for tablets, works well for desktop too.

Same look and feel as windows phone.

Heavily optimized for small devices like tablets, net-books, and for touch screen.

True Multi-tasking unlike Apple's iOS.

Familiarity of old windows, just a click or swipe away.

Designed with speed and performance in mind.

Can use old familiar desktop and new UI simultaneously.

Apps can be developed in HTML 5. No special programming language necessary.

Comes inbuilt with all required application including twitter and facebook application, so install and you are good to go.

Integration with MS cloud services like hotmail, xbox live, photo sharing sites and others.

No need to boot full OS. MetroUI loads in seconds, and features all the applications like iPad.

App store combined for Windows phone, Xbox and Windows. Same app works everywhere.

Internet Explorer 10 pre-installed with weekly updates. MS is planning to go chrome route with IE, featuring regular updates instead of 2 years timeline for new version.

Microsoft के तरफ से Windows 7 के बाद अभी तक इसके अगले वर्जन आधिकारिक घोषणा नहीं हुई है।

ये डेमो सिर्फ डेवेलपर्स के लिए था. आधिकारिक घोषणा तो तब ही होगी, जब इसका पूरा feature list तैयार हो जायेगा. ये तो सिर्फ इसलिए है, ताकि जो बड़े बड़े डिजाइनर है, वो अपने आईडिया दे सके.

लेकिन जो भी वर्जन आया है वो तो नेट पर आ भी चूका है/
