Default Three things that even Microsoft can't explain!

Three things that even Microsoft can't explain!

MAGIC #1

An Indian found that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the Computer which can be named as "CON". This is something funny and inexplicable… At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!
TRY IT NOW, IT WILL NOT CREATE A "CON" FOLDER

MAGIC #2

For those of you using Windows, do the following:
1.) Open an empty notepad file
2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)
3.) Save it as whatever you want.
4.) Close it, and re-open it.
Noticed the weird bug? No one can explain!

MAGIC #3

Again this is something funny and can't be explained… At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!
It was discovered by a Brazilian. Try it out yourself…
Open Microsoft Word and type
=rand (200, 99)
And then press ENTER
And see the magic…..!

---- CON is a shortcut for connection. Creating a new folder with same name causes system to confuse it with connection, hence the error. It has been rectified in Win7 and 8.

---- It was a Easter egg. During 9/11 a lot of conspiracy theory came to light. Microsoft team added this as a funny prank. All coders do this kind of thing. Look for Konami code on Wikipedia, to understand more about this.

---- Rand function is used by debugging team to create a wall of text. This was used to test the fonts and other rendering bugs. Someone forgot to comment out this function in final build. Later on, it is used by designers to test if their fonts are working fine. Game designers need special fonts, and hence this is the easiest test for them to try it out. In short, it is a feature now.

To, kaise lage explanations?? Sorry, aapke sutr ka topic thoda badal gaya. Joke se "Myths busted" wala topic ho gaya.

CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, & LPT9.

Examplerompt>md \\.\\C:\con
इस प्रकार आप अपने C ड्राइव मे "con" नाम से फोंल्डर बना सकते है।

Simple. Notepad saves as a plain text file. This means no header, no extra encoding (unless you choose to save the file as unicode, and then every one of those characters gets 2 bytes instead of the one in ANSI). Basically, all the file contains is Bush hid the facts in its binary equivalent, or in hex, the phrase is "42 75 73 68 20 68 69 64 20 74 68 65 20 66 61 63 74 73". So the whole file contains just those 18 bytes. Unicode uses 2 bytes so this trick would not work well (except in very rare cases) if there were an odd number of bytes. Notepad uses a statistical algorithm when it can't tell directly that a file is unicode or ANSI. Because the phrase is only 18 characters long, the statistical algorithm doesn't have much to work with. So with this particular phrase, it guesses unicode based on the statistical calculations it makes. It guesses wrong of course, but it guesses just as wrong with phrases like "Bobo has one tulip". Notepad was designed to be an all-purpose app but as such it has some mistakes. It is worthwhile to mention, though, that it can open certain files with unicode encoding without the unicode header that other applications fail on. Conspiracy theories are like *** holes. Everyone's got one.
